I decided to share simple tips for your skincare routine. It’s nothing extraordinary, but I’m sure many of you don’t do all these things daily! The reading requires only a few minutes.

1. Exfoliate
Exfoliating with scrubs will help remove dead skin cells that accumulate on your skin. This allows for better and easier absorption of your skincare products, especially your skincare “actives” such as acne treatments.

2. Moisturize well
Moisturizer to avoid trans-epidermal water loss. A healthy skin barrier is essential for skincare products to work effectively. A weak or damaged skin barrier allows irritants in, or irritates more easily.

3. Be constant
Be constant with your skincare routine. Results are only seen with constant use. For example: use your cleanser everyday, moisturizer twice (or more) a day depending on your skin type, exfoliate when needed.

4. Be aware
Be receptive to your personal problems and sensitivity to ingredients. If something works well for others, it doesn’t mean it will work well for you. Some ingredients may or may not work well for your skin type.

5. Don’t skip sunscreen
Sunscreen prevents premature aging caused by UV rays. UV rays from the sunlight breaks down collagen and elasticity in the skin which leads to premature UV aging.
